Vokaliz came together in 2004. Their music career started in a recording studio in Kadıköy with the recording of their first track "Yalnizim". This first recording was an important indicator of the route they were going to take. Their ultimate goal was to be the first vocal group to harmonise the music of the east and the west.

Unlike other similar vocal groups in Turkiye and around the world, Vokaliz aims to blend the modal music of the east without disturbing its own unique style, with melodies and forms of the music of the west. Soon after the introduction of their first track followed by live performances, Vokaliz gained popularity very quickly, by means of their unique musical content and performance style among music listeners and professionals. In the meantime, they recovered the soundtrack of "Hababam Sinifi", which is one of the classics of turkish film history.

Vokaliz released their first studio album in April 2007. In this first album, Vokaliz performs pieces of Turkiye’s anonymous music, and familiar melodies of the classical and popular music, along with their own compositions.
